If Modesto Can Do It, We Can, Too!

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

Residents in Modesto, CA, rode the bus for free today in an effort to Spare the Air on a local Air Quality Action Day. In fact, Modestans can ride the bus for free on any Air Quality Action declared in the summer, reducing the ground-level ozone on days when it is especially present, and dangerous, in the air.

You may remember that the Air Quality Partnership of Lehigh Valley - Berks used to fund a very similar and successful Ride Free On Red Program in Lehigh and Northampton Counties. LANTA continues to be a faithful, generous, partner as the Partnership works to find funding solutions for the revival of this important program in our area. But we need your help. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and a little really could go a long way in bringing Ride Free on Red days back to the Lehigh Valley next summer.
